Cuckoo's Bakery is Edinburgh's quirkiest cupcake shop and tea room situated on the edge of the New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cuckoo's opened on Valentine's Day in 2011 and is owned by best friends Vidya Sarjoo and Graham Savage. The pair met whilst working in London's West End theatre industry and decided to change their way of life by opening a cupcake shop in the beautiful Scottish capital.
Pop in to Cuckoo's and choose one of their twelve flavours which include two different specials each week. Friday's are "cuptail" days were you can start your weekend with one of their fabulous boozy cupcakes. Cuckoo's also offer homemade light lunches in their small but perfectly formed tea room which is open Tuesday to Sunday. |
