Found on the premier shopping street in the centre of the historic market town of Bungay and surrounded by many individual and specialist shops, some of which have been established for generations. Earsham Street Café is a 17th Century building bursting with character and enjoying a colourful past, having seen service as an inn with a cock fighting pit, a bookmakers, a bazaar and a traditional tearoom. Now it’s home to Earsham café/restaurant and a cake baking kitchen. Also known by their alterego, “Humble Cakes”, the bakers at Earsham are passionate about making indulgent cakes and creating delicious food from locally sourced, free range & seasonal ingredients. The café offers relaxed surroundings with regularly changing menus, all homemade, even the jams and chutneys are made in-house. There is a great choice for vegetarians and gluten & dairy-free cakes and meals are available. The cakes change frequently so regular customers always have something new to try with some more unusual flavours for the adventurous, including plum & chocolate, gooseberry crumble, lavender & honey and Fruit & Mead.
