The Harry Gow team are of the belief that baking nowadays is done in too much of a hurry, using bags of pre-mixed ingredients to cut corners for commercial gain. As fifth generation bakers with a proud tradition in proper scratch baking, the Gow family are determined to fly the flag for proper, old-fashioned baking. Whilst they have managed to grow their bakery business to seventeen stores, they refuse to compromise. In their magnificently run factory, they ensure they use the finest local and continental ingredients and the confectioners take pride in finishing each and every single cake to perfection. Everything is made from scratch from start to finish - the jams, the buttercream, the icings, the caramel, the cake sponge, the pastry, the biscuits...and this is the secret to Harry Gow cakes.
