Jumping Jenny is situated in the former stables
at Brantwood on the east side of Coniston Water, with a large terrace overlooking the lake and the 'Old Man of Coniston'; one of the most prominent fells in the English Lake District. From soups to Moussaka, all are made on the premises and served until 5.00pm every day. There is always a large selection of Gillie's cakes including a collection of incredibly large pavlova meringues, baked according to Gillie's New Zealand family's secret recipe. Chocolate, coffee and carrot cakes are the most popular, with a particularly special orange and almond cake available for coeliacs and those who are wheat intolerant. |
