Founded on owner, Liza Mitchell's, family heritage of generations of Tea Planters, together with a love of home baking, the quaint and quiet Poppy's Tea Room serves locals and visitors in the heart of picturesque medieval Thaxted in Essex. Some of the houses here date back to the 11th Century.
Poppy's serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea time treats and indulgent "Afternoon" Tea, actually available at any time during opening hours. All the delicious and varied cakes, scones and soups are freshly homemade on the premises.
To accompany the cake, carefully selected speciality loose-leaf tea is served in china teapots and the range includes changing Guest Teas blended exclusively for Poppy's. |
