This beautiful farmhouse has a long history, first documented in 1296 when it was attached to the monks of the order of St John of Bridgewater. Legend has it that there is a underground passage to the church or cliffs which may have been used in the days of the smugglers!
Jill and her family have been in the property for over sixty years and the tearooms opened in 1952. All cakes, scones, soups, quiches, pies and chutneys are made in the farmhouse kitchen using fresh, in season and local ingredients whenever possible.
The tearooms are just a ten minute walk from some of the most stunning coastal views over the dramatic Atlantic Ocean and adjacent to the ancient church of St John the Baptist, parts of which date back to 900AD.
