| Alexander Perkins arrives at a gorgeous setting each day to bake equally gorgeous baked treats for the Woodlands Cafe. The contemporary shooting lodge-style cafe and bar, set in a chocolate box cottage next to Mulgrave Woods, is more Notting Hill than North Yorkshire. The perfect place to stop for a slice of cake after a bracing walk along the Yorkshire Moors, this cafe, also attached to a small boutique hotel, has won praise from across the country. The apple and olive oil cake is a particular standout. |
