Located off the beaten track near Columbia Road Flower Market, this shabby-chic bakery is the brainchild of graphic designer turned cake creator, Lily Jones, whose client list includes Elton John and Nigella Lawson. Known for her ability to create unconventional designs, Lily is also the go-to girl for high-impact special occasion cakes – Halloween, for example, is one of her many specialties. The bakery stocks traditional cupcakes and cakes in an array of delicious flavours such as the delectable red velvet with coconut, redcurrant cake and the triple chocolate brownie. The space itself is cosy and provides cake lovers with the chance to mingle with creatives and enjoy edible creations. Lily is also a promoter of Fairtrade ingredients and holds cooking classes by appointment at her store each Saturday.
