Founded by Makiko “Maki” Searle, Maki’s Cakes creates an immaculate collection of ornate tiered, individual and signature wedding cakes. Maki studied food art in Tokyo, where she went on to become a French pastry chef. Among her specialities is the Temari individual cake, which is inspired by the ancient Japanese art of weaving colourful silk to create a ball. Maki's elegant cakes can be styled to suit any wedding by incorporating themed colours or designs inspired by wedding dress details. Maki's many elaborate creations include the festive Colourful Poppy Cake and the Retro Cake.
