Enjoy morning coffee, breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea in the majestic Willow Tea Rooms designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Opened in 1904, the tea room remains today one of the most iconic buildings in Glasgow. The Room De Luxe with its leaded glass doors, windows and mirrors is a fabulous setting to enjoy a scrumptious range of homemade cakes. The traditional afternoon teas are served on a 3-tiered cake stand and offer a selection of sandwiches, scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, buttery shortbread and a choice of cake from the cake cabinet. It’s a hard choice between the famous willow meringue, chocolate fudge cake, Victoria sponge, strawberry tart and lemon meringue pie, to name just a few. All are served with a choice of over twenty-five varieties of loose-leaf tea or freshly ground coffee. |
