Cherry, Chocolate & Almond Brownies

Dairy Free/Egg Free/Soya Free
(can easily be adapted to Gluten Free with careful sourcing of ingredients i.e. flour & cocoa)
Ingredients
9 oz Self Raising Flour
3 oz Ground Almonds
2oz Cocoa Powder
Handful of flaked Almonds
4 fl oz Vegetable Oil
8-10 fl oz hemp oil
4 oz Dark Cherries
6 oz light brown sugar
Method

Mix flour, ground almonds, cocoa powder, sugar together in a bowl.

In a jug mix the vegetable oil, hemp milk & dark cherries.

Merge the two (wet & dry) together in a large bowl & mix thoroughly until fully combined – add more hemp milk if necessary to create a gloopy consistency batter.

Pour the mixture into a greased & lined brownie tin, levelling the mix with a spatula, sprinkle top with flaked almonds.

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees C for approx 10 minutes, take out & carefully cover the top with tin foil, return to the oven for a further 20 minutes approximately.

Check brownies are cooked by inserting a skewer – when it comes out clean – they are cooked.

Leave to cool, slice & serve!
